Welcome as a postdoc to the eHealth Institute and to the Department of Medicine and Optometry at Linnaeus University!
The eHealth Institute is an interdisciplinary knowledge environment conducting research, evaluation, collaboration, and education within e-Health. Our research focuses on medicine management, the introduction of digital techniques and Big Data. We also provide education in eHealth in the form of free-standing courses on all educational levels as well as a Master’s programme.
Field of subject for the position: eHealth informatics
Extent and period: 100 % for a maximum of two years, starting date after agreement.
Context of position
The post-doc fellowship is connected to the project ‘eHealth Arena’ in which the applicant is expected to participate. The overall purpose for the project is to form an arena for collaboration and communication between health care providers and suppliers of digital health solutions. The main role of the university and the eHealth Institute in the project is to contribute with evaluations, first in the form of a need analysis in the municipalities and the region and later in testbeds and other forms of product evaluations. The applicant is expected to contribute actively in those activities.
The applicant is also expected to actively participate in the department's environment and network both internally and externally. Twenty percent of the work can include teaching and tutoring at the undergraduate and graduate level.
To be qualified for the position the applicant should hold a PhD in medicine, nursing, care, pharmacy, informatics, computer science or equivalent. The subject of the dissertation should be relevant for the eHealth area and the degree should be completed no more than three years before the application deadline.
Applicants must not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral fellow for more than a year in the same or related subject area at Linnaeus University.
To be eligible for this position the applicant should also have documented excellent ability to conduct research and teaching in English.
